CANEE

C.A.N.E.E has been developed to give all Artists and Communities a way of promoting visual arts in the North East of England. We have been formed to work with all people from all walks of life; from children to individuals with learning difficulties, those who are blind or disabled or from ethnic minority groups and the list is endless.

We are here to promote and support community development and work with people giving you the sense of ownership so you can make a difference to your community.

We work to encourage participation in a wide range of activities including an exhibition programme and workshop sessions, helping YOU achieve your creative potential.

* arts is taken to mean performing arts, literature, visual arts, touch arts, crafts and media arts.

We work in partnership with other organisations around the area providing mutual support in the North East..

C.A.N.E.E staff have experience and proven expertise in working with a wide range of local communities and partnerships to provide the practical support, advice, guidance and project development skills to help enable local initiatives to become community reality

This website allows communities, schools, youth organisations and other organisations to find local approved artists to work with through the Artists Database. (Database is currently under construction)
